Video source notes

The Sixteen
Days.

DonutSMP removed its shop on 2 June 2026. The community revolted, built a workaround mod, signed a petition, and the shop came back sixteen days later. Here is the source trail — including the parts that don't agree.

You can prove a shop was missing by watching what players built to replace it.

The single strongest artifact in this story isn't a video or a screenshot — it's a client mod. On 10 June 2026, a developer published DonutSMP Shop to CurseForge, a timestamped third-party mod built to replicate the shop the server had taken away. It proves two things independently of any commentary: the shop was absent on that date, and players were building their own workarounds rather than waiting.

"The community framed the shop as a social space, not just an economy. That's why its removal read as a loss, not a patch note."

Around it sits the ordinary evidence of a server revolt: a Change.org petition, r/DonutSMP threads calling to revert the update, creator breakdowns of what changed, and a much-shared clip of Dream reportedly talking DrDonut into reversing course. Some of that is solid. Some of it is contested. The next section keeps the two apart.

Conflict log · what the sources dispute

Where the sources disagree.

Two independent research passes disagreed on several load-bearing facts. Everything below is stated as contested, not settled.

ClaimOne passOther passPosition

Two claims in the video could not be independently verified and are labeled as such on screen: the specific player-count figures, and the causal claim that Dream's conversation triggered the reversal. The raw stream VOD of that conversation is not publicly archived.
